Currently we are undergoing the full restoration of G289 DAR which is a Group A Sierra Sapphire Cosworth. The car was driven by Colin McRae during the 1990 Lombard RAC rally in which he finished 1st Ford car and 6th overall. This was the last car Colin competed in before being signed by Subaru.

Here are two further WRC Ford Focus rally cars for which we have carried out full restoration of:- Firstly driven by Colin McRae and now owned by Steve Rimmer is Y5 FMC   And once again driven by Colin McRae and now owned by the family of the late Bob Shepherd, is Y4 FMC

Driven by Francois Delecour and Markko Martin, here is WRC Ford Focus X4 FMC following full restoration by ourselves and ready for delivery to new owner Graeme Sherry in 2018.

After a complete restoration in our workshop, ex Mark Higgins car EX51 UAA is ready for delivery to new owner Mr Michael O’Brien.

Our worthy winner from this year’s ‘Touch a Truck’ day is Jacob Griffiths of Cockermouth.  Jacob successfully identified external items missing from Paul’s WRC Ford Focus which would have made the car road legal for MOT testing.  The car was driven by Colin McRae during the 2001 World Championship and was on display for the

Driven by Colin McRae in Portugal during the 2001 World Championship.  We have spent the past 3 years restoring the car and it is now in the exact same livery as during that championship.  Although not quite complete, the car was on show for the “Touch a Truck” event in September 2018 in our showroom.

Andrew Gallacher has recently been competing in EX51 UAA with two great results;  Galloway Hills Rally in early September saw him finish 7th which was his first time out in the car and then last week-end in the Colin McRae Stages he finished a credible 2nd.   Obviously getting to grips with the car !

Paul has sold his 2002 WRC Ford Focus EX51 UAA (ex-Mark Higgins British Championship car) to Tom Blackwood and is expecting to see the car on the 2018 Scottish Championship. We wish Tom and his team every success for next year.

Our congratulations to Euan Thorburn who was recently crowned 2017 Scottish Rally Champion along with co-driver Paul Beaton. With only the Grampion Stages left in the championship, the pair proved to be beyond reach of their competitors on the points table. Paul and the team would like to wish them all the best for the

Paul and Richard are looking forward to competing in the 3rd round of the BTRA rally championship this weekend at the Somerset Stages. This will be the first time since their bad accident in 2007, that the pair have competed in as many rallies in such a short space of time.
